I thought this was a good transfer period for Ajax. Mainly due to the addition by subtraction. Getting some exciting young players like Sulejmani and Aissati are great additions, but getting rid of dead weight like Luque and Collin was just as important. Plus, the club kept KJH. That was the biggest storyline of the entire summer, so the fact that the club survived the transfer window with him still on the roster makes it a good transfer period (even if I still don’t think he’s the most important player).

The one weakness I see from this transfer window at Ajax: defense. Oleuger looks to be a good addition, but there’s no depth at the back, and I would’ve like to see a second or third defender signing instead of a fifth midfielder signing.
