If he uses the 4-2-3-1, possibly a holding midfielder, maybe as an attacking midfielder on the left side? It will be unfortunate if MvB doesn't find a few reasonably priced options in the transfer market for the backline. Until then Vertonghen & Slijngard will be our best options at left-back in my humble opinion.
