Guilty
By: Matt | February 5th, 2009Here are the verdicts. All are guilty as charged.
KJH> for taking the armband while intending to leave ASAP.
Me> taking a long winter break
MvB> seriously? a red card? How does a manager…?
ref> seriously? offside?
Ajax> seriously? Heracles?
Me> skipping out at a crucial time of the season for fans to rally and/or get totally pissed
the weather where I live> because who wants to write about football when you could be outside playing?
SydAjax> for having a kick-ass site of his own. If you have not been there yet, be ashamed of yourself. Then click here.
Rob Wielart> for not being younger/better/cheaper
Leonardo> for not being Elia
Elia> for not coming to Ajax
Cvitanich> for not building on all that potential displayed before the break
So, here is the story. I am knee-deep in preparation for the biggest (and final) exams of my life. This means that I am writing a ton and reading three times that. The last thing I want to do at the end of the day is sit at the laptop for a few more minutes and pound out a few paragraphs. So I may be more spotty than I have ever been. On the other hand, the last thing I want to do is never get out of the books I have to read.
But you readers, you precious few who follow Ajax from the far corners of the earth, you need a place to gather and read someone else’s random Ajax ramblings before offering your own. So I will do what I can. And let me know if I continue to disappoint you. (Like I needed to say that, it’s the Internet, for crying out loud. As if people need any encouragement to offer their opinion while typing away on a blog comment. I think the stupidest things sometimes. And then I type them. And then I post them. And then you read them…)

Good luck on the exams, Matt. Don’t worry about us. (Probably best you don’t think about Ajax too much either… too depressing.) We’ll still be here when you’re finished.
